Terms of Use

01. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of elloai.com (the "Site"), operated by Adeyemi Adetilewa ("elloAI," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, submitting a tool listing, or making a payment through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

02. What elloAI Is

elloAI is a curated directory of AI tools. Every listing, whether submitted for free consideration or as a paid tier, is manually reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to accept, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason, including after it has gone live.

03. Submitting a Listing

By submitting a tool to elloAI, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the tool, or are authorized to submit it on the owner's behalf
  • The information you provide (name, description, URL, pricing) is accurate and not misleading
  • The tool does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • The tool does not facilitate illegal activity, and complies with applicable law

We may rewrite or edit submitted descriptions for clarity, accuracy, or house style. Approval is not guaranteed for any tier, including paid ones - see Section 4.

04. Paid Listing Tiers & Payment

elloAI offers listing tiers, priced as shown on the Submit page at the time of purchase, plus separate sponsor banner placements priced on the Sponsor page:

  • Standard - a one-time payment for a permanent listing.
  • Featured and Sponsored - recurring monthly subscriptions. Your listing keeps its elevated placement for as long as the subscription remains active and in good standing.

Payment happens before review, not instead of it. Paying for a tier does not guarantee approval. If a paid submission is rejected, we issue a full refund - typically the same day, and always within 5 business days.

Subscriptions and cancellation. Featured and Sponsored are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which the listing automatically reverts to a Standard listing rather than being removed. If a recurring payment fails, the same automatic reversion applies. We do not prorate partial months.

Standard tier refunds. Because a Standard listing is a one-time payment for a permanent placement, refunds after approval and publication are granted only at our discretion (for example, a materially inaccurate listing we're unable to correct).

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full payment card details - see our Privacy Policy for details on payment data handling.

05. Sponsor Placements

Separately from tool listing tiers, elloAI sells a limited number of sponsor banner placements shown alongside site content. Sponsor placements are sold for a fixed duration, are not guaranteed to renew, and are subject to the same right of removal described in Section 2 (for example, content we later determine to be misleading or inappropriate). Sponsor placements do not constitute an endorsement of the sponsor or its product by elloAI.

06. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to manipulate rankings, reviews, or search results through automated means
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract listing data for a competing directory without permission
  • Interfere with the Site's normal operation or attempt to bypass its security
  • Use the Site to submit or promote a tool that facilitates illegal activity

07. Intellectual Property

The elloAI name, logo, and site design are the property of elloAI. Tool names, logos, and descriptions remain the property of their respective owners; by submitting a listing, you grant elloAI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Site and in related promotional material (e.g. social posts featuring the directory).

08. Disclaimers

elloAI is an independent directory. Listings, including paid ones, reflect editorial judgment at the time of review and do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of any listed tool's quality, safety, or fitness for any purpose. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party tool or website listed on elloAI. Use of any listed tool is at your own risk and subject to that tool's own terms.

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

09. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, elloAI and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or any listed tool, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Site is limited to the amount you paid to elloAI in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove any listing, or restrict your access to the Site, at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms. Sections 4-9 survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which elloAI's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
